At CWA, we believe competitive athletics and fitness activities are an integral part of a student’s education and provide valuable learning experiences. Fostering teamwork and encouraging students to persevere, the athletic and fitness programs provides students the opportunity to participate in something bigger than themselves on competitive sports teams. Our goal is to promote healthy lifestyles and the importance of lifelong fitness.

Upper School Athletics

All Upper School students are required to participate in athletics and fitness activities. CWA athletes compete in the Nisqually League 1A.

More than 70 percent of Upper School students participate in competitive athletics through 15 teams, and Charles Wright has won state championships in boys’ basketball, cross-country, golf, tennis, and soccer and in girls’ cross-country and tennis.
